President Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with Governor Sim Fubara and former Governor Peter Odili at the State House, according to The Cable,

The meeting was called to discuss the political crisis in the oil-rich Rivers State, which has resulted in a feud between the current governor, and Nyesom Wike, his predecessor, who is Tinubu’s political collaborator and minister.

The crisis has seen more than 20 members of the House of Assembly defect to APC and at least nine commissioners resign from the government of Fubara. Wike has not officially left the PDP, but he is believed to be calling the shots after the party leadership loyal Rotimi Amaechi was sacked by the national leadership of the party.
